What is the Art4Healing Method?

Our Art4Healing® method consists of guided exercises designed to elicit emotional responses through abstract painting with acrylic colors on canvas. It helps participants express their feelings safely by associating colors with emotions.

What can I expect in an Art4Healing workshop?

An Art4Healing® workshop allows participants to tap into inner emotions that words often cannot express. Facilitators guide participants through prompts as they respond by creating abstract paintings. Participants typically create and take home 3 completed paintings.

Who leads the workshops?

All workshops are led by certified Art for Healing facilitators. While workshops are therapeutic, our facilitators are not art therapists. Participants have the freedom to create and express without interpretation.

What can I expect at an in-person Art4Healing workshop?

In-person workshops follow a similar format to our online sessions. Participants create abstract paintings in response to prompts, associating colors with emotions. Each participant typically takes home 3 completed paintings.

How long are in-person workshops?

The duration of in-person workshops varies from 1 to 2.5 hours based on the topic.

What should I wear to in-person workshops?

Please wear comfortable clothing that you wouldn’t mind getting paint on. We provide aprons for protection.

Will I take home some art from in-person workshops?

Yes, participants in in-person workshops can create and take home 1 to 3 paintings, all done with acrylic paint on canvas. The Art4Healing® method provides a way to express when words may not suffice.
